Cornell Materials

Cornell University Library materials can be found using the library catalog. Once you’ve identified the item you want, find the location information (e.g., Olin Library). You can retrieve Law Library materials from the library stacks or place requests (see below) through the library catalog. Special collections items can be requested at the Law Circulation desk. All non-Law items can also be requested through our catalog.

If you have several search results in the library catalog, click on the item you want. You can request a scan of an article/chapter OR place a request for the book to be delivered through contactless pickup or for pickup at Law Circulation (also known as Law Service Point). The circulation desk is located on the third floor of Myron Taylor Hall in the Gould Reading Room.

To request delivery, use the red ‘Request’ button in the library catalog and select ‘Law Circulation’ or ‘Contactless Pickup-Law’ as the pickup location. You will receive an email with pickup information when the items are ready. The contactless pickup location is currently located just inside the entry to the New Ground stacks (near the elevators). Please allow at least 48 hours for contactless pickup requests.

Visit the current course reserves page for information on how to access library materials for your courses.

Non-Cornell Materials

Borrow Direct and Interlibrary Loan for physical items have resumed at this time. Please note that turnaround times may be slower than usual.
