KEYWORDS: Law Library Weekly Newsletter

Hello. It’s Keywords, the only weekly law library newsletter to welcome you to the other side of February. We have somehow made it to March which means you are less than 30 days away from that hallowed tradition of the student experience: Spring Break. You’re probably too busy slaying your classes, prepping your prep for the August Job Fair, and surviving law school to get beach body ready. Fear not, your trusty law library is here with the best tips on how to get your best body of law.

Get Vitamin D

During these cold winter months as we experience Spans of Almost Darkness, it is not uncommon for people such as you or I to experience Seasonal Affective Disorder. But wait, there’s hope! If you’re feeling sad, use a SAD lamp! These small beacons of light shine Spears of Anti-Dullness to help whether you’re feeling sad in lower case or in all caps. Check one out from the circ desk or head over to the Dean of Student’s Office and ask to use the Vitamin D lamp. While you’re there, take a quick nap in the massage chair and give the library couches a break.

Flex Your Muscles

They say that you are known by the company you keep. This explains why you live in the law library since just like law books you are heavy-laden with legal knowledge and should move from your spot every so often. So next time you see a library book that you need to read, want to skim, or would like to memorize in the 60 seconds ahead of your in-class learning exercise, activate your biceps and take it! You have the power to grab a book from the shelf for yourself. Just remember to come up to the circ desk to check it out.

Don’t Lock Up

Each day of law school brings you one step closer to locking down the job of your dreams. However, you should try your best to not get locked out while you are locking down your future employment. If you are using a basement interview room, make sure you unlock the door before you leave. If you do happen to lock yourself out, don’t fret. Come up to the circ desk and ask for a key.

We will be back next week with a new edition of Keywords. In the meantime, remember that if Angela Bassett can do the thing, so can you. Come to the circ desk whenever you need a little boost to sturdy your constitution.
