Carlos Andrés Pagán

Summer Diversity Fellow-in Residence 2017 Carlos came to us with a J.D. from Universidad de Puerto Rico—Río Piedras Law School, an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, a Licenciatura en Derecho from Universitat de Barcelona, and an M.I.S. from Universidad de Puerto Rico—Río Piedras. A passionate advocate for social justice, he has particular interests in the role of legal education as an instrument of social change and in achieving a more just and democratic Puerto Rican society. Formerly the Executive Director of the Puerto Rican Academy on Law and Jurisprudence and an adjunct professor at Universidad de Puerto Rico—Río Piedras, he also taught Legal Aspects in Business and Business Ethics & Computer Information Systems. While at Cornell, he engaged in an immersion in academic law librarianship with a focus on research and instructional services. Carlos left Cornell to become Foreign Comparative and International Law Librarian at Boston University School of Law’s Samuel M. Fineman Law Library & Pappas Law Library.
