Faculty Research and Reference Services:
Research and Reference Services for Faculty at Cornell Law include services such as
- Help finding articles, books, or data.
- Help conducting literature reviews and 50-state surveys.
- Help finding or using online databases.
- Help using AI enhancements to online legal research databases, such as Lexis+ AI.
- Research instruction support for your classroom, including guest lectures on legal information issues and research guides.
- Training or consulting with your research assistants.

Faculty Scholarship:
The Law Library can also help you with your faculty scholarship.
- The Law Library manages the Law School’s SSRN account, including submission of papers to SSRN.
- The Law Library also manages submissions to the Scholarship@Cornell institutional repository.
- The Law Library also offers help with ORCID and other unique author identification.

Library Materials:
- You can request materials in our collection through the Cornell University Library catalog. Cornell University Library has more information about the borrowing process. Please email lawref@cornell.edu with any questions about identifying books to request.
- For help with the process of checking out books, please email the law library circulation desk at lawcirc@cornell.edu or call the circulation desk at (607) 255-7236.
- You can also request books from non-Cornell libraries using interlibrary loan. For questions about using the interlibrary loan service, please email law-ils@cornell.edu.
Course Reserves:
- The Law Library maintains both physical and digital course reserves. Please email lawreserves@cornell.edu with any questions about course reserves.
