Online Legal Resources
As a Cornell Law student, you may be aware that you have access to nearly 200 legal databases.. But do you know what each of them is for and how they can best meet your study and research needs? For example, do people use Pitchbook for baseball or for Shark Tank? Who Is Max Planck and why did he write so many Encyclopedias of Law? Would the History of Bankruptcy help you if your client was Michael Scott? If you want to explore these resources, but have no idea where to start, come to the reference desk or email us at lawref@cornell.edu.

As a Cornell Law student, you receive helpful law library tips every day, like “Never put off till tomorrow the reference question you could have asked today.” Or “The early bird gets the worm and the best seat in the Reading Room before the undergrads take over.” Here’s a new one: “It’s never too late to get your login for Lexis, Westlaw, and Bloomberg.” If you are trying to access any of the aforementioned online legal resources and study aids and realize you still need to set up your account, don’t stress.
