Dear Reader, it is this Author’s pleasure to welcome you to the latest issue of Keywords, the premiere weekly law library newsletter of this most revered and most hallowed of institutions. There remains little more than a week until the advent of the autumnal holidays. Therefore, it behooves us to dispense with the pleasantries and carry on with the news. Read on.
Mind Your Mask
It has come to this Author’s attention that there are those among us who dare flout the indoor masking rules. Never before has this Author been so dismayed…except each day spent waiting at the local Bucks of Stars. It is our collective responsibility to act as one does in a caring society and abide by established regulations. Therefore, this Author beseeches thee – mind your manners and wear your mask.
Reserve Your Room
Gentle Reader, ‘tis the season of squash-flavored spices, fruit-centric festivals, and obtaining audiences with potential employers. If you find yourself in need of a private enclave to host your interview, may this Author suggest reserving an interview room? The utmost discretion is assuredly ensured.
Walk A While
Rumor has it that the best remedy for an overstimulated mind is a gentle walk or a leisurely stroll around the grounds. If you are in need of company on your outdoor excursion, join your fellow legal students and partake in the Beebe Lake excursion hosted this afternoon by our most honorable Public Service colleagues.
Censure the Censor
Have you noticed the social media goings-on in relation to Banned Books Week? Fear not, gentle Reader, for you still have time to peruse our Instagram and Twitter for the latest happenings in relation to this year’s theme – “Books Unite Us. Censorship Divides Us.” Peruse away.
This Author will return next week with a new edition of Keywords. In the meantime, continue to wear your mask, engage in some restorative exercise, and send us your legal research questions at lawref@cornell.edu.
