387 + 389 =?
So you’ve climbed 53 flights of stairs to get to your class in in MTH 387 or 389…only to find yourself in the law library. Don’t despair, you’re almost there. Head to the front of the Reading Room and exit the doors located to the right of the circulation desk. Walk to the end of the hallway until you reach the last (short) staircase that will lead you to the classroom you’re looking for.
We Can ScanIt. So Can You
Looking for a digital copy of your favorite legal article or law library book chapter (notice how we didn’t say whole book – respect the copyright!) to have with you at all times? Place a ScanIt request via the library catalog; the scanned item will be delivered to you via email or Box in about two business days. Or use the public scanner located in the alcove next to the Reading Room reference desk. Either way, you’re saving your back from having to lug around actual books. Oh and trees. You’re also saving trees.
Food To-Go
The law library is many things – a study haven, a studious respite, an architectural masterpiece. What it is not, however, is a dining hall. There are no meals allowed in any law library space. You can take a quick break to quickly eat a quick snack in the 3rd floor eating area. Otherwise, treat yourself and dine al fresco. Or enjoy an actual dining hall.
Rest From Labor
Just like mere mortals, law librarians must also rest from their labors. The circulation and reference desks will be closed on Monday, September 6 for the Labor Day holiday. Feel free to correspond with our away messages until we return on Tuesday.
