If an item you are looking for is not available because it has been charged or it is not in the library’s collection, you will need to search the WorldCat catalog to search libraries world wide. Options to request the material through Borrow Direct or Interlibrary Loan will appear once you’ve selected the item you need.
If the item is available through the WorldCat catalog you will be able to borrow the item through Cornell’s reciprocal agreement through:
- Borrow Direct Log In (3-4 day delivery): CUL preferred agreements allows for an expedited borrowing and lending process from other institutions included in Borrow Direct. Click on the link to learn more about Borrow Direct and to log in to your Borrow Direct account to track requests
- InterLibrary Loan Log In (2-14 day delivery): CUL borrowing agreements allows Cornell Library users to borrow items from other libraries and universities. Click on the link to learn more or to login to your Interlibrary Loan account to track your requests.
Alternatively, if the item is available through Cornell but is checked out to another patron, you can:
