Amy Emerson received a B.A. with honors from Wells College in 1996, and joint J.D. and M.L.S. degrees with honors from Syracuse University in 1999. After practicing for nine years in the private sector, Ms. Emerson joined the Cornell Law Library in 2008.  As Associate Director of the law library, she assists in the management of administrative operations and the creation of library policy and procedure.  Ms. Emerson has taught several legal research courses in the law school, including advanced legal research, the research component of the first year Lawyering course, CLE topics in legal research, and the Legal Research Clinic.  Since 2003, Ms. Emerson has additionally served as adjunct faculty at Ithaca College where she taught Real Estate Law, Legal Environment of Business, and the Legal Research seminar.  She is a member of the New York Bar and serves actively in professional library organizations, including the American Association of Law Libraries and the Association of Law Libraries of Upstate New York.
